Presented by Sun Peaks Grand

BC Adaptive Snowsports Summit is a season kick-off event offering professional development opportunities for CADS instructors and club program leads.   The Summit is a 3-day event that provides a variety of technical on-snow sessions and off-snow networking and learning opportunities with peers and leaders from the BC Adaptive Snowsports community.  All on-snow sessions are delivered by BC Adaptive Snowsports course conductors and CSIA instructors.  In 2019 the Summit grew to over 60 volunteer instructors congregating at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel and Resort.

Summit 2020-2021 Update

Summit 2020 is cancelled as a result of COVID-19.  Despite the cancellation, it is anticipated 60 volunteer instructors will still be provided professional development opportunities via a decentralized model that will expand to a variety of regions.  In this model, BCAS’ technical experts will deliver on-snow single-day small group sessions across the province.

All details regarding professional development opportunities will be updated on as they become available.

“The BCAS Summit was a valuable opportunity for me to develop my skills as an instructor and network with other clubs. Both of these elements provided insights that I’ve taken back to share with other instructors and leaders at our club.”
