BCAS Selects Will Davis as new ED
BC Adaptive Snowsports (BCAS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Will Davis as the new Executive Director.
Davis has several decades of experience leading not-for profits, raising the profile of organizations, and advocating for important issues.
“Will brings a wealth and diversity of experience,” said Sarah Morris-Probert, President, “we are thrilled to have him join BCAS as we look to reignite excitement in adaptive programs after the challenges imposed by the pandemic over the past two years.”
From serving as a Broadcast Television Producer for CBC English and French services, to orchestrating the Vancouver Comedy Festival, Davis has worked with some of the largest names in Canadian entertainment. His impressive career in media is complemented by years of experience working within and in partnership with government.
“With an extensive background in journalism and engaging with government, we are confident that Will is well-positioned to build the types of partnerships needed to strengthen BCAS and its ability to support clubs across the province,” said Keivan Hirji, Vice-President, “we look forward to seeing Will put his own spin on the role and bringing a fresh perspective.”
As the 2022 season continues in full-swing, preparations begin for 2023 and Davis indicates that he plans to hit the ground running.
“With the pandemic being such trying and exceptional times, we need to demonstrate leadership and stability in our transition. I am excited to join the team and inspired by everyone’s passion for our mission. Together we will take our association to new heights,” said Davis.
Originally from Quebec, Will settled in Metro Vancouver in 1997, where him and his wife have raised their family of five. So as you see him around over the coming months, don’t hesitate to start the conversation off with a friendly “Bonjour!”
