BC Rehab provides boost to equipment program

Vancouver, BC – BC Adaptive Snowsports (BCAS) announced today a partnership with BC Rehab to enhance their province-wide equipment grant program that provides adaptive snowsport equipment to BCAS clubs and participants.  BC Rehab is a charitable foundation that supports organizations and individuals, to promote initiatives that increase opportunities and access for people with a disability.

“Access to adaptive equipment is a barrier to participation in our adaptive snowsport community,” explained Jeff Sauvé, Executive Director, BC Adaptive Snowsports. “With the substantial support of BC Rehab we can immediately get to work with our clubs to address this barrier more aggressively than we have in recent history.  The staff and board of BC Rehab are passionate advocates for enhancing access and opportunity.  We are appreciative of their support and they have motivated us to make a strong impact through our equipment grant program this upcoming ski and snowboard season.”

“”BC Rehab has always been a strong supporter of organizations that help anyone with a disability to experience the outdoors,” said Trynka Gogal, spokesperson for BC Rehab.  “We see BC Adaptive Snowsports as dedicated and responsible enthusiasts who are opening up snowsports for individuals who may otherwise not have access to BC’s beautiful mountains.  We are confident that the expansion of their equipment grant program that our funding will enable will have a lasting impact.”
